In the summer of 2025, I photographed designer Effe Qi He’s SS26 collection for her brand Effe Waldorf. This series also served as her graduate thesis at Parsons School of Design, blending conceptual innovation with sustainability. Each pair of heels was crafted entirely from 100% recycled 1980s high heels and 100% recycled sneakers, creating a collection that is both eco-conscious and brilliantly new — a shimmering vision of rebirth, where the past is reimagined into something radiant and alive.
